Emily Franz is a Botanical Illustrator and Freelance Artist living in Los Angeles California. She is currently creating scientific illustrations for publication and artwork for a variety of private commissions. Emily is on the board of the Botanical Artist Guild of Southern California (BAGSC), is a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists (ASBA) and the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators (GNSI). Emily has completed a botanical illustration internship with the California Botanic Garden, and is pursuing a Botanical Illustration Certificate from the New York Botanical Garden.

Emily's handmade miniatures, props and puppets have been featured in film, television, theater, stop motion animation and workshops for people of all ages.

Emily loves collaborating with scientists and educators and draws inspiration from the natural world.
